Among Us Story: On Guard launches February 17, 2027, and PC players can try its Steam demo now. Innersloth's October 8 announcement puts the demo window at October 8 through 15, giving you a chance to check the solo mystery before deciding whether to follow it to release.

The full game is coming to PC, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Android and iOS. This is a separate single-player adventure, not a new role or mode for the multiplayer Among Us game.

Try the Steam demo before October 15

The current demo announcement is specifically for Steam. The wider launch platform list does not confirm demos for Switch or phones, so those players have a release date rather than the same immediate trial.

Innersloth has not specified the demo's runtime, whether progress carries into the full game, or an exact closing time in the announcement. Do not leave your first session until the end of the stated window if you want time to try it.

The official release-date trailer is available to watch.

Guard is the suspect, and you run the investigation

The story takes place in MIRA's training simulator. You play as the Operator directing Guard, whose security job becomes a murder investigation after Guard is accused. The Steam description says completing tasks advances the story and helps uncover clues.

That makes this worth a look for players who like the characters and murder-mystery premise but want a solo story instead of organizing another lobby. It is not evidence that the investigation is good; Game Pelt has not played the demo.

The full game advertises three endings. The demo announcement does not establish that you can reach all three during this trial, so treat that as a feature of the complete release, not a promise about this week's download.

Try the Steam demo if the solo format appeals. Pricing is still absent from the reviewed announcement and Steam listing, so a buying recommendation can wait. February 17 is the confirmed launch date; the useful action right now is testing the investigation before October 15.
