Castlevania: Belmont's Curse has a demo now, and this is the useful part: progress can carry into the full game if you stay on the same platform and account. That makes the demo more than a nostalgia snack before launch. It is a low-risk scouting run before October 15.

The demo covers the opening chapter and is available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. Konami lists the demo at 60 fps on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, with Nintendo Switch at 30 fps.

What carries over

Save data from the demo can transfer into the full version, but there are rules. You need to play the demo and full game on the same platform, use the same account, keep the demo save data, and update the full game to the latest version before transferring progress.

That is the part to get right now, before launch-day brain fog kicks in. If you test the demo on one platform and buy the full game somewhere else, do not assume that save will follow you. Wrong platform, wrong account, deleted demo save, dead plan.

Demo size and platform specs

Konami lists the demo size at 6 GB on PS5, 3 GB on Nintendo Switch, 5 GB on Xbox Series X|S, and 4 GB on Steam. The full game is larger: Standard Edition is listed at 8 GB, or 4 GB on Nintendo Switch. Midnight Edition is listed at 10 GB, or 6 GB on Nintendo Switch.

That is not a huge storage hit, but it is still worth knowing before you start shuffling installs around. If your Switch storage is already held together by deleting one game every time a new one arrives, check the space first.

What the full release includes

The full game is still dated for October 15, 2026. Konami lists Castlevania: Belmont's Curse as a 2D action-exploration game with Japanese and English audio, plus text support for Japanese, English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean.

The Standard Edition includes the main game. The Midnight Edition includes the main game, a Digital Sound & Art Gallery, Trevor Style Costume, Sypha Style Costume, and the Family's Grace relic. The Alucard Style Costume is listed as an early purchase or pre-order bonus.

Rose Belmont is the lead

Konami's character page frames Rose Belmont as the new protagonist. She is Trevor Belmont's daughter, carries Dracula's curse in her right arm, and fights with more than just the whip.

The voice cast listed by Konami includes Abby Trott as Rose, JB Blanc as Trevor Belmont, Alejandra Reynoso as Sypha Belnades, Graham McTavish as Count Dracula, Ray Chase as The Fallen, Erica Lindbeck as Joan of Arc, Melique Berger as Medusa, Liam O'Brien as Isaac, Dawn M. Bennett as Carmilla, and Aaron LaPlante as Death.

The move before launch

If you are already buying Belmont's Curse, play the demo on the platform where you plan to own the full game. Keep the save. Do not use the demo as a throwaway test on the wrong account.

If you are still unsure, the demo is exactly where you should be. Test the movement, combat feel, and early pacing before spending launch money. Castlevania fans have waited long enough. No need to donate a clean save transfer to sloppy platform planning.
