Convergence's October 8 showcase has finished, and there are already concrete things to check beyond its trailers. DERELIKT has a downloadable Steam demo, while Emberville is preparing an October 19 Next Fest demo ahead of its October 27 Early Access launch.

The organizer's recap counts 38 games in the main show, with more than 60 including the pre-show. Jesse Cox and AshleyRoboto hosted, alongside creators who played games live. A demo or dated release is the useful follow-up when that many titles pass through one broadcast.

DERELIKT is available to try now

Visuwyg and Hyperstrange's retro FPS mixes narrative with claustrophobic science-fiction horror. Convergence's recap announced a demo, and the Steam store now has a download option. That is a playable build you can inspect rather than another trailer to judge from a distance.

The game's store page still gives a broad 2026 release window. Demo availability should not be turned into an exact full-game launch date that the developer has not supplied.

Emberville has two different October dates

The organizer says Emberville's Next Fest demo arrives October 19. Its Steam page lists October 27 for Early Access. The first date is a planned trial; the second is the paid game's planned release as a work in progress.

Cygnus Cross describes Emberville as an action RPG built around exploring an underground prison, rescuing survivors and rebuilding their town. Its Early Access description includes combat, equipment, classes, gathering and crafting, with further features planned during development.

The demo was not verified as available during this check. Keep October 19 as the announced date and confirm the download when it arrives. For now, DERELIKT is the immediate hands-on option; Emberville is one to revisit before deciding whether its Early Access build offers enough for you.
