Deep Rock Galactic's 2026 Rocktoberfest starts Thursday, September 24 at 13:00 CEST and runs for two weeks. The event adds one new assignment reward, brings back older seasonal cosmetics and lets teams earn double XP during individual missions.
The new Rocktoberfest Assignment awards the Freihand Tap Cap, a headpiece built around a hands-free drink setup. Players who missed earlier events can also complete Hunt for Lederhosen to unlock the Lederhosen outfit and previous Rocktoberfest hats.
Double XP requires a Wurst Stein deposit
The XP bonus is not a passive event-wide multiplier. A Wurst Stein mug can appear in a cave during a mission. Dig it up and deposit it, and the whole team receives double XP for that mission. Players interested in promotion levels should still search side chambers instead of assuming the bonus is automatic.
Best Wurst Beer also returns to the Abyss Bar, while the Space Rig receives its seasonal decorations. Ghost Ship Games has not listed a separate platform schedule, so the announced September 24 start applies to the event generally.
