Epic Seven Steam Demo Is Live, but Your Progress Resets
Epic Seven has a free Steam demo ahead of its October 29 launch. Check the global cutoff, progress reset and account-linking step before you play.
Epic Seven's free Steam demo is available now, but your roster and progress will not carry into the full release. Smilegate will reset the demo's gameplay data when the preview ends. Try the combat and PC setup before committing your time to a permanent account.
The demo launched October 8 as part of Epic Seven's Steam Next Fest participation. The full Steam service starts October 29 after maintenance, alongside the new Foundry server. That launch schedule does not yet give an exact opening hour.
The demo ends October 26 UTC
Smilegate's detailed demo notice sets the cutoff at October 26, 23:59 UTC. For US players, that is October 26 at 4:59 PM PDT or 7:59 PM EDT. The UK cutoff is 11:59 PM GMT, Central Europe is October 27 at 12:59 AM CET, and Sydney and Melbourne are October 27 at 10:59 AM AEDT.
The October 27 date in Smilegate's Korean press release reflects the later local date. Use the detailed UTC schedule when planning your last session.
What you can play before the reset
Epic Seven combines hero collection with turn-based combat and animated skill sequences. The demo includes the story and much of the gameplay, while Guild War and World Arena are excluded. Its store description says the demo has no in-game purchases.
Demo events run separately from the live service. Their rewards and the roster you build remain temporary. Smilegate also warns that the preview environment may differ from the official launch, so it is a chance to try the game rather than proof of the final client's performance.
A STOVE account is required, with Steam account linking supported. Smilegate's notice also says the demo cannot run at the same time as the live game in the STOVE PC client.

Existing accounts and Foundry are separate choices
The demo reset does not mean existing live accounts are being wiped. Smilegate's Steam FAQ says account progress and game data are retained when an existing account is transferred to Steam login. Its launch notice tells returning players to convert their account through the official STOVE website before accessing Steam.
Foundry opens with the October 29 Steam release and will be accessible through Steam, the STOVE PC client and mobile. Its launch events include growth support and daily free summons, separate from the demo's events.
For newcomers, use the preview to decide whether Epic Seven's team building and combat suit you. Returning players should check the account conversion instructions before launch. Either way, do not grind the demo expecting a permanent head start.
