Fallout 76 Roadmap: World Pets, Hideouts and Raven Rock
Fallout 76 has revealed a roadmap through summer 2027, beginning with World Pets in December before Hideouts and a Raven Rock map expansion.
Fallout 76 now has a roadmap stretching into summer 2027. Bethesda plans to turn C.A.M.P. pets into combat companions this December, add high-level bounty Hideouts next spring and expand the map toward Raven Rock and the Capital Wasteland next year.
The roadmap is more than a list of seasonal events. Each stage builds on a different part of Fallout 76: companions for open-world exploration, a new bridge into endgame group content and another permanent expansion of Appalachia.
World Pets arrive in December
The World Pets update will let C.A.M.P. pets leave home and travel with their owners. Pets will level alongside players and gain commands to stay, follow, protect and attack.
Bethesda connects the system to new bounty hunting in Skyline Valley. The Blue Ridge Caravan Company's withdrawal from the area will form part of the setup, giving players and their newly combat-ready companions a reason to return to the region.
The announcement does not yet explain pet classes, equipment, maximum levels or whether every existing C.A.M.P. pet has the same combat role. Those details will need a separate reveal before December.
Hideouts fill the gap before Raids
Larger bounty contracts are planned for spring 2027. Their targets live in Hideouts designed as more demanding team encounters with multiple possible approaches.
Bethesda describes Hideouts as a stepping stone between the early endgame and Raids. A separate Marked difficulty will be aimed at stronger teams and offer better rewards.
The Drifter adds competition to those runs. This masked bounty hunter will attempt to remove rival players and keep the payout, with additional recognition promised for teams that defeat him. His identity and exact encounter rules remain unconfirmed.
Raven Rock pushes the map toward Fallout 3
The next map expansion heads southeast toward the Capital Wasteland. Raven Rock will focus on a conflict between two abandoned Enclave operators and show part of the region almost two centuries before Fallout 3.
Bethesda has not given Raven Rock an exact release date beyond 2027. It also has not defined the expansion's border, quest count or how much of the Capital Wasteland will be explorable, so the announcement should not be read as a complete Fallout 3 map recreation.
Existing systems are still on the roadmap
Seasonal events, rendering, weather, the new-player experience and fishing are all marked for further work during the next year. Seasonal fish will continue to rotate, including a teased golden Axolotl.
The larger point is that Fallout 76's next year is split between new places and deeper everyday systems. World Pets changes how players move through Appalachia, Hideouts create a new endgame rung, and Raven Rock opens a direct historical connection to Fallout 3.
