Fire Emblem Heroes has added Cai, Theodora, Dietrich and Leda from Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. The New Heroes summoning event runs until October 6 at 11:59 p.m. PT and introduces Vista Heroes, a new unit type built around transferable character backgrounds.

The four featured characters are Entwined Hero Cai, Attuned Hero Theodora, Dietrich and Leda. Nintendo says they are available as a five-star summoning focus. A separate free summon lets players choose one five-star Hero, while the guaranteed five-star summon after 40 pulls can be used up to four times during the event.

Vista Heroes add a transferable reward

Dietrich and Leda are the first Vista Heroes. Each has a dedicated illustrated background that changes after forming a Summoner Support bond. Summoning a Vista Hero also grants a Vignette.

A Vignette can be given to another Hero to apply the Vista background and increase that Hero's stats. That makes the new unit type more than a presentation change, although Nintendo's announcement does not provide the exact stat values. Players deciding whether to spend Orbs should check the in-game skill and Vignette details before committing to the full 40-summon thresholds.

The useful deadline is October 6

The event began September 8 and closes October 6. The free choice of one five-star Hero is the clearest value for players interested in the crossover. Reaching all four guaranteed summon thresholds is a much larger resource commitment, so it only makes sense after comparing the featured skills with an existing roster.

Nintendo says additional login bonuses and quests are part of the Fortune's Weave celebration. Full reward details are available inside Fire Emblem Heroes. The update is free to access, but summoning remains tied to the game's optional in-app purchases.
