What Does Lords of the Fallen II Co-op Save, and What PC Do You Need?
Shared campaign mode saves mainline progress for both players. Compare the current PC requirements and check the co-op and performance details still missing.
Lords of the Fallen II's shared campaign mode saves mainline progression for both players. Steam also lists minimum and recommended PC requirements, so you can compare your current machine before planning a run with a friend.
The missing details matter too. The store does not explain every co-op save rule or attach a resolution and frame-rate target to either hardware tier. Here is what you can check now, and what needs a clearer answer before you spend money.
Shared campaign progress and casual help are different options
The official description supports exploring Thorngar alone or with one fellow Lampbearer. In shared campaign mode, mainline progression is saved for both participants. That is the relevant option if your goal is to follow the story together.
Casual sessions are described separately as a way to help another player. The listing does not say that they carry the same campaign-saving rules, so do not assume the two options are interchangeable.
Mainline progression is also narrower than a promise that every item, side quest and reward will be identical for both players. The checked store text does not explain those details, restrictions on joining a more advanced campaign, or what happens when partners continue separately.
Steam lists cross-platform multiplayer, but it does not provide a platform-pairing chart or confirm cross-save. If you and a friend plan to buy different versions, wait for the explicit compatibility breakdown.
One more detail to keep straight: the official June post describes the free Friend's Pass among updates to Lords of the Fallen (2023). That does not establish a free pass for Lords of the Fallen II. Do not plan a two-player purchase around it yet.

Compare your PC with the current Steam requirements
Both listed tiers require Windows 11. Compare your processor, graphics card and RAM as well; meeting the GPU entry alone does not mean the rest of your machine meets the published requirements.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 11 | Windows 11 |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600 | Intel Core i7-8700 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 |
| Memory | 12 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA RTX 2060 / AMD Radeon RX 5700 | NVIDIA RTX 3080 / AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT |
The recommended graphics cards are a substantial change from the minimum tier. They are still requirements rather than benchmarks. Steam does not specify the resolution, frame rate, graphics preset or upscaling conditions associated with either setup.
The current listing also leaves storage capacity and an SSD requirement unstated. A blank entry is not confirmation that storage will be small or that a hard drive will be suitable.
These are the specifications available on October 11, 2026. Recheck them closer to release in case CI Games updates the listing.

Before buying a copy or a PC upgrade
Start with the hardware you already own. Compare all four published categories, then wait for performance targets or testing of the release build before buying an upgrade specifically for this game. The recommended tier does not establish a 4K or 60 fps promise.
For co-op, agree whether you want a shared campaign or occasional assistance. Confirm your platform pairing and the remaining save rules before paying for a setup that depends on them.
For launch timing, our release-window explainer covers the current Q1 2027 target. Steam still shows Coming soon. Until the remaining details are published, use the requirements to assess your existing PC and treat shared mainline progression as the confirmed starting point for your campaign plan.
