This Week in Gaming: PS Plus Goes Hard, Game Pass Fires Back

This Week in Gaming

March 14, 2026 brought the kind of week where every platform came out swinging. Whether you're team PlayStation, team Xbox, or just here for the chaos, there was something for everyone. Here's the full breakdown.

PS Plus March Lineup PlayStation

PS Plus March Is Loaded

Sony opened the month with a lineup that immediately set the tone. Space Marine 2, Persona 5 Royal, Blasphemous 2, and Madden NFL 26 all hit PS Plus this month. That's a co-op blockbuster, a 100+ hour JRPG, a brutal Metroidvania, and a sports title for good measure. Sony chose violence this month, and the community noticed.

Space Marine 2 alone justifies the subscription. The chainsword combat, the co-op missions, and the sheer spectacle of fighting Tyranid hordes make it one of the best action games of the generation. Persona 5 Royal for free? That's 100+ hours of style, story, and soundtrack perfection.

Four games, zero misses. This might be the best PS Plus month we've seen in a long time.
Game Pass Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox

Game Pass Fires Back

Not to be outdone, Xbox dropped Cyberpunk 2077 on Game Pass — the fully patched, Phantom Liberty-included version. Night City for free. Two hundred plus hours of content. Game Pass also added Planet of Lana II, the gorgeous indie platformer sequel that flew under most people's radar.

Xbox Free Play Days rounded out the weekend with Diablo IV and Killing Floor 3. Not bad for a "quiet" month.

Pragmata Release Date Capcom

Capcom Finally Dates Pragmata

After years of waiting, Capcom confirmed Pragmata launches April 17. One month to go. The sci-fi action title has been in development limbo for what feels like forever, but the latest trailer suggests it was worth the wait. Capcom's track record lately has been spotless, so expectations are high.

Street Fighter 6 Alex DLC FGC

Street Fighter 6 Drops Alex

The grappler the FGC has been begging for finally arrives on March 17. Alex's kit includes power bombs, suplexes, and that classic headbutt that Third Strike fans know and love. Year 2 DLC for SF6 has been consistently strong, and Alex looks like another banger addition to the roster.

Death Stranding 2 PC PC

Death Stranding 2 Hits PC

Kojima's sequel lands on PC on March 19. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach on ultrawide monitors is about to be something special. The PS5 version already impressed, and the PC version promises even better visuals and performance. Kojima on ultrawide is going to be unreal.
