Phoenix Cyclops joins Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls on November 2 as the first DLC fighter included in the Year 1 Pass. His Dark Phoenix transformation provides a temporary power boost, but it comes with health depletion.

Arc System Works producer Takeshi Yamanaka confirmed the release date and mechanics in the October 7 announcement. The Classic and Legacy DLC costumes arrive on the same day.

Four Solar Shards unlock Dark Phoenix

Using Optic Blasts builds Solar Shards. Collect four and Cyclops can transform into Dark Phoenix. The temporary power increase comes with a health cost, so the transformation is not a free boost.

The announcement describes Cyclops as an all-rounder with long-range blasts, close-range strikes and fire attacks that cover wide areas. It does not specify how long the transformation lasts or how quickly health drains.
