PEAK: How To Stop Turning Every Climb Into A Disaster
A practical PEAK guide for route planning, stamina discipline, item use, co-op spacing, and avoiding the kind of falls your friends will never let go.
PEAK is funniest when everything goes wrong, but it is more fun when the disaster is earned instead of self-inflicted. Most bad climbs start before anyone touches the wall.
Look For The Exit Before The First Hold

Do not start climbing just because the wall is in front of you. Look for the next rest point, the safest angle, and the spot where a fall will not turn into a full group wipe. A bad route with enthusiasm is still a bad route.
Spend Stamina Like It Is Shared Money
If your stamina is almost gone, stop making heroic little reaches. Small mistakes become huge when you are empty. Rest before the desperate move, not after your character is already peeling off the rock.
Items Are For Bad Moments

The cleanest item use is boring. Save tools for recoveries, unsafe gaps, and routes that would otherwise cost more stamina than they are worth. Burning everything early turns the last third of a climb into a group apology.
Do Not Stack The Whole Team On One Mistake
In co-op, spread out enough that one slip does not drag everyone into the same mess. Call out unstable routes, bad weather, and item use before people commit. PEAK is much easier when communication happens before the screaming.
