What Changed in Rocket League Patch v2.77?
The October 6 patch shortens Duels and corrects a Tournament reward bug, while other trade-in problems remain listed.
Rocket League's October 6 patch cuts Honor Duel matches from five minutes to three and allows forfeits after 60 seconds. Version 2.77 also fixes Tournament reward trade-ins producing a Black Market item from outside the Tournament reward pool.
For Duel players, that means a shorter match limit and a defined point at which you can forfeit. The notes do not announce a first-goal-wins format.
Psyonix lists three other repairs: corrupted NASCAR Next Gen Ford Mustang graphics, Party and Team chat text that could appear too small to read, and missing R.I.P. Goal Explosion sound in the Tournament Rewards screen.
The Tournament fix concerns the reward you receive. The official known-issues page, updated October 6, still warns about trading in items with different series, certifications or trade restrictions.
It also lists favorites as a possible reason an item cannot be traded in. Psyonix's suggested workaround is to remove the favorite marker, then try the trade-in again.
The patch notes do not announce replacement items or compensation for previous trades. A repaired reward result does not establish that an earlier unwanted item will be exchanged.
If a trade-in still fails, check whether the items are marked as favorites and compare the problem with those remaining warnings. The October 6 fix addresses the incorrect Tournament reward; it does not say every trade-in issue has been resolved.
