The Rogue Prince of Persia Anniversary Update 1.1.0 is live. It reworks the opening hours, adds freeze-based builds, changes weapon affixes and medallion progression, and strengthens the final boss.

The Opening Is Shorter And More Explicit

Evil Empire says player data showed many people leaving before the movement system clicked or after repeated runs to the first boss. Zagros, Aqueduct and Huns Camp are now shorter and denser. Mandatory wall-run sections appear earlier, and the game can remind players of the input when they stop using it.

The First Boss Has A Better Runback

Players now encounter more meaningful progression before Berude. The most confusing rock-wave attack does not appear until the second wave, while fountains must be unlocked by biome. The goal is to teach the death loop before the first major skill check instead of letting new players reach it unprepared.

Freeze And Affixes Expand Builds

Freeze is a new systemic effect with interactions for fire, poison, resin and water. Weapons can also roll affixes, giving two copies of the same weapon different benefits. These changes create more build decisions than simple weapon preference.

Old Strong Builds Were Reduced

Critical hits now deal 150% damage instead of 200%, several weapon specials were reduced and the Saw's damage per hit was halved. Medallion-slot progression is also more predictable, with slots tied more closely to shops and bosses.

New players should notice the onboarding work immediately. Returning players have the stronger reason to restart: old build assumptions no longer apply, and freeze adds a new route through the combat system.
