You do not need to finish Warframe's late-game story to join Epoch Operation: Taubound. Completing Vor's Prize meets the announced quest requirement for the event. The Hex and The Old Peace unlock the separate Tau Prologue instead.

That difference matters if you are returning before October 15 and deciding which quests to finish first. Taubound runs through November 17, 2026; the prologue remains available afterward.

Two Activities, Different Entry Checks

For Taubound, check that your account has completed Vor's Prize. During the operation, eligible players can access Eris without meeting its normal Star Chart and Junction requirements.

The entry exception lets earlier accounts reach the event. It is not a difficulty recommendation: being eligible does not establish how comfortably your equipment will handle each mission.

For the Tau Prologue, check completion of both The Hex and The Old Peace. The permanent quest arrives October 15, but finishing it is not required to collect Taubound's Moonflesh.

If you only want to participate in the operation, the longer quest catch-up can wait. If you want the prologue on its first day as well, prepare for its separate requirements.

Taubound is temporary; the related Tau Prologue remains in the Codex after the operation ends.

The Operation Has a Deadline; the Prologue Does Not

Taubound sends players into Eris missions to collect Moonflesh for Praghasa. The operation includes event-exclusive rewards and narrative updates from interacting with her.

Digital Extremes says Taubound will not have a rerun. Once it ends, players will no longer be able to visit Praghasa for the operation's dialogue or rewards. The prologue staying in the Codex does not preserve that temporary content.

For players short on time, prioritize the operation if those rewards and story messages matter to you. You can complete the permanent quest later once you meet its requirements.

Prepare Your Account Before Planning a Farm

The October calendar puts Taubound back in view, but these entry rules were announced earlier. This is a preparation check for the upcoming event, not a new change to quest eligibility.

The verified announcement does not give enough information here to rank Moonflesh farming routes, estimate purchase times or recommend a beginner loadout. Those questions need current mission and reward details.

Finish Vor's Prize first if you have not already. Then choose whether you also want to catch up through The Hex and The Old Peace for the prologue. Keep the limited event and permanent story quest as separate goals, so unnecessary quest grinding does not delay your participation.
