Space Marine 2’s Patch 15 is scheduled for October 1, adding Chaos Siege and Crucible. The September community update also confirms the Apothecary class for Patch 17 in the first quarter of 2027, so it is not part of the October release.

Chaos Siege opens Avarax to Heretic Astartes

The mode lets you fight Tyranids, Imperial forces and Space Marines as Heretic Astartes. It starts with two sectors, with a third in development.

Crucible rewards belong to the class you play

Crucible uses selectable Penances, personal debuffs divided into six difficulty tiers. Its XP and Lamenters armor unlocks are class-specific. Progressing Tactical does not also unlock the armor for your other classes.

Patch 15 also adds the one-handed Thunder Hammer for Tactical, Assault, Bulwark and Techmarine. Tactical receives a skill-tree rework, with the full perk list reserved for the released patch notes.

The Apothecary follows in 2027

Patch 16 is planned before the end of 2026 with a new PvP mode. The Apothecary then arrives in Patch 17 during Q1 2027; Saber has not supplied an exact date or complete class details.

The update’s cosmetic packs are separate DLC purchases. For the October gameplay additions, choose which class you want to progress in Crucible, then check the final Patch 15 notes before changing your build.
