Blizzard announced a WoW Forever beta restart targeting missing quest items, occasional elevator and transport disconnects, and errors when joining or leaving a guild. These are the three confirmed fixes in the maintenance announcement, not a new class-balance pass.

Missing quest items means restocking chests

The quest fix is intended to address items that should replenish in a chest but have gone missing. Blizzard did not provide a complete list of affected quests.

That is narrower than restoring every lost quest item or returning missing items to a character's bags. If a chest previously blocked your progress, recheck that specific interaction when you can access the beta rather than assuming every quest-item problem has been resolved.

Blizzard's follow-up also identifies a bug that could occasionally disconnect players while riding an elevator or transport. The third fix addresses an error when joining or leaving a guild. Neither description establishes that every transport problem or guild issue has been eliminated.

The announced restart time and remaining limits

The restart was scheduled for October 6 at 3 p.m. PDT (US Pacific), 6 p.m. EDT (US Eastern), and 11 p.m. BST (UK). In Central Europe, that was midnight CEST on October 7; in Sydney and Melbourne, it was 9 a.m. AEDT on October 7. Players already in the beta were told to expect an in-game warning shortly before realms went offline.

The scheduled time has passed, but the staff posts checked do not confirm when the restart finished or give an actual downtime figure. The announcement establishes the intended maintenance scope; it is not independent confirmation that every affected interaction now works.

No dungeon XP adjustment, Auction House restoration or mail-gold recovery is confirmed in these posts. For now, the useful follow-up is straightforward: check the chest, transport or guild action that failed and report any remaining problem with the details needed to reproduce it.
