A PvE Fury Warrior Route for WoW Forever Levels 1 to 30
Start with two-handed Fury for PvE levels 1-30. Follow the talent order, training and ability priorities, with a separate dual-wield dungeon alternative.
For your first PvE Fury Warrior, use a two-handed weapon through levels 1-30 and follow the two-handed talent route below. Upgrade that weapon regularly, keep Battle Shout active, and use Overpower when it becomes available. You do not have to dual wield to play Fury.
This guide covers levels 1-30 in the October 8 beta build. It uses the current Fury layout and separates normal talent points from optional Legacy bonuses. Bloodthirst, Whirlwind and Pummel are not part of this level-30 rotation.
Use a two-hander for the beginner Fury route
Levels 1-19: you cannot dual wield yet. Equip a good two-handed axe, sword or mace and keep its weapon skill current. Compare weapon DPS first; do not keep an outdated axe just because your race has an axe bonus.
Levels 20-30: stay two-handed for this route. Train Victory Rush at 20 and use its heal after a qualifying kill. The talent order takes Blood Craze and Enrage, not points that only help an off-hand weapon.
Dual Wield unlocks at 20. Switch only when you have two good one-handers, both weapon skills trained, and want to follow the alternative below. It is not an automatic upgrade. Keep a one-hander and shield in your bags for Shield Bash and emergencies.
This is our beginner Fury recommendation, not a claim that two-handed Fury is the fastest Warrior build in every situation. For a shield-first character focused on tanking, use our Protection Warrior guide instead.
Your first Warrior checkpoints
| Level | Do this before moving on |
|---|---|
| 1-9 | Keep Battle Shout active. Learn Charge at 4 and level weapon skill whenever you change weapon type. Fight manageable enemies and save training money. |
| 10 | Complete the Defensive Stance class quest. Learn Taunt, Bloodrage and Sunder Armor; buy or keep a usable shield. |
| 12-14 | Learn Shield Bash and Overpower at 12. Train Tactical Mastery at 14 so stance changes can retain up to 10 Rage. |
| 20 | Train Victory Rush, Cleave and Slam. Stay two-handed for the default route; Dual Wield is only needed for the alternative. |
| 24-28 | Execute arrives at 24; Shield Wall at 28. Both are situational tools, not permission to empty your Rage or ignore incoming damage. |
| 30 | Complete the Berserker Stance quest, train the available cap skills and take Death Wish if following one of the 21-point routes below. |
Follow this two-handed Fury talent order
Spend your 21 ordinary points in this order: Cruelty 5/5 at 10-14, Unbridled Wrath 5/5 at 15-19, Piercing Howl at 20, Lingering Rage 1/5 at 21, Blood Craze 3/3 at 22-24, Enrage 5/5 at 25-29, and Death Wish at 30. Use this route with your two-hander for solo questing and early dungeon damage.
Levels 10-14
- CrueltyLevel 10 | 1/5
- CrueltyLevel 11 | 2/5
- CrueltyLevel 12 | 3/5
- CrueltyLevel 13 | 4/5
- CrueltyLevel 14 | 5/5
Levels 15-19
- Unbridled WrathLevel 15 | 1/5
- Unbridled WrathLevel 16 | 2/5
- Unbridled WrathLevel 17 | 3/5
- Unbridled WrathLevel 18 | 4/5
- Unbridled WrathLevel 19 | 5/5
Levels 20-24
- Piercing HowlLevel 20 | 1/1
- Lingering RageLevel 21 | 1/5
- Blood CrazeLevel 22 | 1/3
- Blood CrazeLevel 23 | 2/3
- Blood CrazeLevel 24 | 3/3
Levels 25-30
- EnrageLevel 25 | 1/5
- EnrageLevel 26 | 2/5
- EnrageLevel 27 | 3/5
- EnrageLevel 28 | 4/5
- EnrageLevel 29 | 5/5
- Death WishLevel 30 | 1/1
Blood Craze is modest conditional recovery, not a replacement for food or bandages. Enrage needs incoming damage, which is why this variant suits solo fights better than a dungeon situation where the tank takes every hit. Do not pull extra enemies to force either proc.
Dual-wield alternative from level 20
Use this alternative when two good one-handers support your dungeon DPS plan. Keep Cruelty and Unbridled Wrath as the first ten points. Take Piercing Howl at 20, Furious Precision at 21-23, Lingering Rage at 24, Raging Blows at 25, Dual Wield Specialization at 26-29, and Death Wish at 30. Reset your talents if you already spent those points on the two-handed route.
- Piercing HowlLevel 20 | 1/1
- Furious PrecisionLevel 21 | 1/3
- Furious PrecisionLevel 22 | 2/3
- Furious PrecisionLevel 23 | 3/3
- Lingering RageLevel 24 | 1/5
- Raging BlowsLevel 25 | 1/1
- Dual Wield SpecializationLevel 26 | 1/5
- Dual Wield SpecializationLevel 27 | 2/5
- Dual Wield SpecializationLevel 28 | 3/5
- Dual Wield SpecializationLevel 29 | 4/5
- Death WishLevel 30 | 1/1
Furious Precision helps off-hand attacks land; Dual Wield Specialization improves off-hand damage. Neither helps your two-hander. These are deliberate tradeoffs for dual-wield dungeon damage, not proof that switching at 20 is always faster.
Legacy points are optional, not part of the base build
The beta now grants 16 Legacy Points for testing. Those are Legacy currency, not sixteen class talent points. The Talented perk can provide up to five extra class talent points when selected; the normal route above does not assume you have bought it.
For the recommended two-handed route, one optional five-point extension takes two Improved Berserker Rage ranks, Raging Blows for cheaper Cleave, a second Lingering Rage rank, and the first Flurry point. This reaches 26 Fury points; Flurry is legal only after 25 points are already spent and Death Wish is learned. These are bonus points, not ordinary level-30 unlocks.
- Improved Berserker RageBonus point 1 | 1/2
- Improved Berserker RageBonus point 2 | 2/2
- Raging BlowsBonus point 3 | 1/1
- Lingering RageBonus point 4 | 2/5
- FlurryBonus point 5 | 1/5
For the dual-wield alternative, finish Dual Wield Specialization, take two Improved Berserker Rage ranks, add a second Lingering Rage rank, then take Flurry. Bloodthirst still needs 31 Fury points and is out of reach at 30 even with the full five-point bonus.

Training priorities through level 30
Replace old action-bar ranks after training. The cards highlight useful new abilities; also inspect the trainer for upgrades to Battle Shout, Rend, Thunder Clap, Overpower, Sunder Armor, Heroic Strike, Cleave and Slam. Current beta ranks can change, so read the listed level rather than copying an old Classic shopping list.

PvE ability priority by level
Interrupts, survival and target control take precedence when needed. The damage rows are conditional priorities, not a fixed cast sequence. The level selector shows the ordinary talent route; optional Legacy talents do not appear as baseline unlocks.

Weapon and stat checkpoints
Weapon skill and a real damage upgrade come before a small secondary-stat gain. For dual wield, compare both weapons, not just the main hand. Useful Hit helps attacks land; Strength and Attack Power improve melee damage, while critical chance supports damage and Rage. Keep enough Stamina for the content you are doing.
- Levels 1-9Train every new weapon type
- Levels 10-19Weapon plus shield backup
- Levels 20-24Keep upgrading your two-hander
- Levels 25-30Review your current gear
This is a gearing checklist, not a verified best-in-slot list. The October 8 notes lower the rarity and adjust stats of some dungeon quest rewards. The new Desolace Gelkis/Magram chain begins at 35, so it is not a normal level-30 acquisition route. Do not build a shopping list around outdated reward screenshots.
Race and profession choices
Choose a race you want to keep playing and a weapon route you can support. Orc and Troll racial tuning is still under review, so there is no responsible final launch ranking here. Weapon skill, current equipment and the quality of your pulls matter before a small racial advantage.

- Mining + BlacksmithingCraft useful upgrades
- Gathering firstKeep training affordable
- Cooking + First AidReduce recovery downtime

Rage management and recovery
The October 8 build fixes Rage from incoming damage, including health-based calculation, critical/crushing hits and absorbs. It also replaces the earlier fixed 50% armor assumption with level-appropriate values. Do not copy that older formula into your leveling plan.
Normal weapon swings are your steady Rage supply. Heroic Strike and Cleave replace the next swing, so their cost includes losing the Rage that an ordinary attack would have generated. If you are constantly empty, stop queueing every swing before blaming the weapon.
Battle Stance is a sensible solo default because it keeps Charge and Overpower available without Berserker Stance's extra incoming damage. At 30, Berserker Stance is an option for controlled dungeon DPS, not a requirement to stand in it while being hit. Tactical Mastery preserves only part of a large Rage pool when you change stances.
Use Death Wish when you have time to attack and can survive its damage-taken penalty. Save food, bandages and health potions for recovery; do not pull another group just to avoid losing Rage. Let the healer recover before turning a good damage window into an emergency.
Useful Fury macros
Replace weapon names with your own equipped items. These are starter macros to test in the beta, not a one-button rotation. Weapon swaps and stance changes can delay the action; prepare the interrupt set early and be ready for a second press.

Level-30 dungeon DPS checklist
| Check | Ready when |
|---|---|
| Weapons practiced | Both skill levels current |
| Interrupt set ready | Shield Bash reachable |
| Recovery stocked | Food, bandages, repairs |
| Pull plan agreed | Tank target, safe cleave |
| Cooldowns sensible | Death Wish has a safe window |
Before the next dungeon, practice your equipped weapon skills, prepare the shield interrupt and check supplies. Follow the tank's target and save Rage for the tools the fight needs. For regular tanking, follow the separate Protection guide; this Fury route is for PvE damage.
