WoW Forever's first raid lineup is planned for December 9, with Barrow Deeps for 10 players, Hyjal Summit for 20 and Onyxia's Lair for 40. Blizzard's October 20 overview details the level 60 encounters and reconfirms the opening date, giving guilds three different roster sizes to prepare for.

These raids are not open now. The useful distinction is the size of the group each one needs, not a new claim that December 9 was first announced this week. Blizzard also says all raids are currently planned to reset weekly; the overview does not specify an exact opening hour or detailed shared-lockout rules.

Barrow Deeps has eight bosses for a group of ten

The raid descends into the prison beneath Mount Hyjal that once held Illidan Stormrage. Its entrances connect through Mount Hyjal, Winterspring and Blackmaw Hold, giving groups several approaches to the same underground destination.

Eight bosses are listed for this 10-player raid. That is the smallest roster in the three-raid overview, but group size alone is not evidence that its encounters will be easy or quick to clear.

Hyjal Summit takes twenty players across thirteen bosses

Near the World Tree Nordrassil, Hyjal Summit starts with an ancient guardian encounter before opening multiple paths across the mountain. Blizzard describes ruins above and below ground as groups work toward the final encounters.

The 20-player format sits between Barrow Deeps and Onyxia in roster size, with 13 bosses confirmed. Pick the raid that suits the group you can reliably assemble rather than assuming all three require the same number of people.

Onyxia needs forty players and an amulet for each

Onyxia's Lair is in Dustwallow Marsh. Every raider must carry the Drakefire Amulet earned through their faction's attunement questline. The item can stay in your inventory; it does not need to be equipped to enter.

Our Onyxia attunement guide covers the per-character requirement. This raid overview does not remove it or replace it with access earned by another group member.

Use the December 9 plan to arrange a roster and leave time to reach level 60. Before booking the first run, check the final opening time and lockout details. A planned weekly reset is useful for organizing a regular group, but it is not a complete set of raid-entry rules.
