Apex Legends Blood Pact Adds Faction Powers, but You Have to Earn Them
Blood Pact runs October 13 to November 3. Beasts and Demons bring different Wild Cards to haunted Kings Canyon, with powers earned through match challenges.
Apex Legends' Blood Pact event runs October 13 through November 3, 2026, with a Beasts-or-Demons choice in Wildcard. Complete challenges during the match to earn your faction's Wild Cards. Beasts favor movement and weapon handling; Demons offer shields and faster ability charging.
The match rules are the reason to pay attention to this Halloween event. Kings Canyon gets random fog, Rev Shell Grenades return, and each round brings another challenge to complete.
Blood Pact dates and match challenges
EA announced the event on October 8 and confirmed the October 13 start and November 3 finish. It has not given a launch hour, so those dates do not confirm a specific time to queue.
After choosing a faction, you earn its Wild Cards through round challenges. Dealing damage and scoring knocks are examples of the requirements. The announcement does not list every objective or its target, so check those details in the live mode rather than assuming the powers arrive just for picking a side.

Beasts or Demons?
Beasts have three announced Wild Cards. Evasive Maneuvers adds movement speed with melee equipped. Fast Draw speeds up shield-cell use and weapon switching. Critical Roll gives you temporary critical hits after reloading.
Demons take a different approach. Speedy Charge accelerates tactical and ultimate charging. Shields Up provides Epic-level shields, while Super Cells lets shield cells restore all shield health.
That gives your squad a useful starting choice: movement and handling, or shielding and ability access. It does not establish a strongest faction. EA's description leaves out the full numerical values needed to compare them, and the event has not opened yet. Pick for the effects you want to try, then judge the balance in actual matches.
Fog changes Kings Canyon sightlines
The Halloween version of Kings Canyon can receive random fog that hides squad movement and reduces visibility. Rev Shell Grenades are returning alongside haunted loot bins, pumpkin-styled EVO orbs, and seasonal scenery.

The store also includes a werewolf-style Sparrow skin and character-select animation, a demon-style Alter skin, an R-99 weapon skin, and additional bundles. Those are separate from the faction abilities. Check the actual prices before buying; this announcement is not a complete cost comparison.
For a returning squad, Blood Pact offers new Wildcard rules to try from October 13. Check that the event is available, read the round challenge, and choose your faction for its stated abilities. A tested best-faction recommendation will have to wait until the mode is playable.
