Apex Legends Fixes Full-Magazine and Rapid-Fire Weapon Exploits
Respawn reports fixes for full-magazine firing and unintended Sentinel/C.A.R. rapid firing and reloading. These are exploit repairs, not normal balance changes.
Respawn says it has fixed two types of weapon exploit in Apex Legends: firing an entire magazine in one shot, and unintended rapid firing and reloading. Its October 9 anti-cheat announcement links the second issue to the Sentinel and C.A.R. SMG.
The studio says the fixes were deployed during that week. It does not identify an exact rollout hour, build number or platform breakdown. October 9 is the announcement date, not a confirmed deployment timestamp.
The Sentinel and C.A.R. fix is not a regular damage nerf
Respawn describes weapon behavior outside its intended rules. The notice does not announce new damage values, recoil changes or different magazine sizes for normal play.
It also describes the full-magazine exploit separately. The announcement does not limit that first issue to the Sentinel and C.A.R., so the named weapons should not be treated as the complete scope of both repairs.
Anti-cheat work continues beyond these repairs
Respawn says it is still improving detections and systems and taking action against players who undermine fair play. There is no ban total or evidence in this notice that all cheating has stopped. Game Pelt has not independently tested the fixes.
PC players dealing with launcher or Secure Boot problems can use our Javelin troubleshooting coverage. This weapon announcement does not change those setup requirements.
For your next session, keep the distinctions clear: these are reported exploit repairs, not a reason to assume normal weapon stats have changed. Further suspicious behavior still needs investigation rather than a promise that every exploit is gone.
