ARC Raiders Frozen Trail Opens Pendola Pass and the Frigate
Frozen Trail arrives October 8 with Pendola Pass, the Frigate, new ARC threats, Outposts, amplified weapons, and a bigger late-game route.
ARC Raiders: Frozen Trail is not just a snowy backdrop for the next queue spike. The October 8 update sends players to Pendola Pass, adds the Frigate as a high-level challenge, and starts pushing late-game Raiders toward tougher choices than another ordinary loot run.
Embark's official first look frames Pendola Pass as an old Italian village and Exodus transport hub beyond the Rust Belt. The reason to go is bigger than sightseeing: one of the Emperors has fallen there, and Raiders are being pulled toward the rare technology inside it.
Pendola Pass Is the New Route
The useful read is simple. Pendola Pass is built for vertical routes, buried spaces, flash freezes, and an ARC response that is already scrambled before players arrive. That means the map should punish lazy movement more than a familiar farm route.
If you are coming back for Frozen Trail, treat the first runs like scouting. Learn the weather, learn the exits, and do not assume the safest line through the Rust Belt will work in a frozen mountain pass.
The Frigate Is the Real Test
The Frigate is the bigger warning sign for experienced squads. Embark describes it as one of ARC's largest vessels, patrolling Pendola Pass after the Emperor falls. Raiders have to find a way aboard, move through internal passageways, unlock routes, and survive ARC threats while other players chase the same prize.
That is a different kind of pressure. Close quarters high above the map means greed, bad comms, and sloppy pushes should get punished fast. If your squad usually survives by spreading out and improvising, Frozen Trail may force a tighter plan.
New Threats Change the Loadout Check
Frozen Trail also adds three named ARC enemies. The Bully is built to push hard and give ground grudgingly. The Skulker plays the opposite role, waiting for a moment of distraction before slipping in. The Hydra is a three-part turret threat found on the Frigate, which makes cover and target priority matter.

The rest of the update is not small either. Outposts expand the Raider Den with customization and research. Amplified weapons add a fifth quality level to 15 weapons at launch. The Stiletto, Bantam, Grapple Hook, tether gadgets, camera, instruments, weapon stencils, and Reward Pass system all arrive around the same update window.
The safe takeaway: do not log in on October 8 expecting one new point of interest and a few cosmetics. Frozen Trail looks like a full reset point for routes, late-game combat, progression, and squad habits. Go in curious, but go in ready to lose a few runs while the map teaches you where not to stand.
