The current Bungie Store closes on October 19, 2026. That does not mean Destiny 2 is shutting down, and it does not mean existing preorders vanish. It does mean players who care about Bungie Rewards, order history, downloads, or emblem codes should handle the boring account chores now instead of waiting until the storefront is gone.

Bungie Store's FAQ says the store will stop accepting new orders after October 19. It also says preorders that are still waiting for fulfillment will continue to be fulfilled, with tracking emails still going out after the closure.

Save Your Order History First

If you need a copy of your order history after October 19, Bungie says to contact Bungie Store customer service. That is useful, but it is not as clean as having your own records ready.

Download receipts, save order numbers, and screenshot anything tied to a preorder, reward, soundtrack, or physical item you still care about. Do it before the deadline. Future-you does not need a support ticket hunt over a shirt, pin, or emblem code.

Digital Codes Have a Later Cutoff

The FAQ gives digital downloads and emblem codes a separate window. Bungie says they will remain available to download through December 31, 2026.

That is a cushion, not a reason to ignore it. If a soundtrack file, emblem code, or reward download matters to you, grab it and store it somewhere sane. Destiny players have survived enough vault management. Do not add email archaeology to the pile.

Rewards and Sale Timing Are Tighter

The Bungie Store policy page says retired Bungie Rewards are available while supplies last until October 19 at 9:59 AM PT. The same page says 50 percent of proceeds from the Bungie Store x Bungie Foundation Sale, before taxes, shipping, and fees, benefit the Bungie Foundation through October 19 at 9:59 AM PT.

That timing is sharper than just "October 19." If you are trying to buy a retired reward or catch the sale before it ends, treat the morning cutoff as the real deadline.

Marathon Merch Is Separate

Bungie Store's FAQ points Marathon merchandise and rewards to separate Marathon store links. That matters because the closure language is about the current Bungie Store for Bungie and Destiny related merchandise, not every store page with a Bungie logo on it.

For Destiny players, the practical move is simple: check your Bungie Store account, save what you need, and make any final reward or merch decisions before October 19. Bungie says a new home for merchandise is being built, but it has not given players a replacement storefront date in the FAQ.
