Diablo IV Season 15 allows multiple Mythic Uniques in a valid equipment setup, but only one item with the Crafted tag. The tag comes from the Horadric Cube's Upgrade Direct Item to Mythic recipe. A Mythic made at the Jeweler or obtained from a Blacksmith cache does not receive it.

Check that distinction before spending materials on another direct upgrade. Two items can both be Mythic without competing for the Crafted limit, but two Crafted-tag items cannot both be equipped.

Which recipe applies the Crafted tag?

The Horadric Cube's Upgrade Direct Item to Mythic turns a specific eligible Unique into a Mythic version while retaining its affixes, Tempering, and Masterworking. Its result carries the Crafted tag and uses your one permitted Crafted-tag item.

That recipe is useful when the original Unique already has the setup you want to preserve. Blizzard's example is a Tibault's Will with desirable affixes and completed Tempering and Masterworking. The upgrade keeps that work rather than replacing it with a newly rolled item.

The cost is higher than the other Mythic crafting methods. You also cannot use the direct recipe on an Unmodifiable item. Check the source item's condition before planning an upgrade, particularly if you have been using Transfiguration.

Jeweler Rune Crafting

Mythic Uniques created through the Jeweler's Rune Crafting do not receive the Crafted tag. They therefore do not use the direct-upgrade allowance, even though you made them through a crafting system.

Blacksmith Mythic caches

Mythics from the Blacksmith's caches also lack the Crafted tag. Season 15 has separate cache options for class-appropriate Mythic Uniques and Iconic Mythics. Read the pool you are selecting before buying; those are different targets.

The important equipment distinction is the same for both vendors: their Mythics do not count as the one Crafted-tag item produced by the Cube's direct upgrade.

What can you equip together?

A valid setup can include one Cube direct-upgrade item alongside compatible Mythics from Jeweler crafting, Blacksmith caches, or drops. The Crafted rule does not create a one-Mythic limit for your whole character.

For example, if you directly upgrade a Unique you want to keep, another suitable Mythic from a Blacksmith cache does not compete for the Crafted allowance. If you directly upgrade a second Unique instead, both upgraded pieces carry Crafted and you must choose which one to equip.

Normal equipment restrictions still apply. An item lacking Crafted does not override its slot, class, or other equip requirements.

Before you commit materials

Start with the piece you are already wearing. If it has Crafted, decide whether the new direct upgrade would replace it. Do not pay for a second direct-upgrade item on the assumption that both will fit.

Next, check whether preserving the source Unique is worth the extra cost. The direct recipe's benefit is retaining that particular item's existing affixes and modifications. If you are looking for a different Mythic rather than preserving a prepared Unique, inspect the Jeweler and Blacksmith options before choosing.

Finally, confirm that the source item is eligible and read the live recipe cost. Save your one Crafted allowance for the direct upgrade your character actually needs, then use compatible untagged Mythics for the remaining equipment. Creating an item and receiving the Crafted tag are not the same thing.
