The Beast makes more sense at the discount price

Dying Light: The Beast is currently listed at 50% off on Steam, dropping the U.S. price from $59.99 to $29.99. That matters because The Beast was always an easier sell as a focused, nasty, smaller Dying Light story than as a full-price open-world bet.

Who should care

If you bounced off Dying Light 2 because it felt too broad or too busy, The Beast is worth a second look at this price. The pitch is cleaner: get back to survival movement, night pressure, brutal melee, and the kind of dangerous city rhythm that made the series work.

If you already know you dislike Dying Light's stamina pressure, loot cleanup, and parkour-first combat, the discount will not magically fix that. This is still Techland's flavor of open-world survival action. It is just easier to forgive when the buy-in is lower.
