Endless Legend 2 Leaves Early Access Tomorrow With New Factions And Console Versions
Amplitude's fantasy 4X sequel is set to hit 1.0 on September 17 with a new playable faction, rogue factions, and console releases.
Endless Legend 2 is finally hitting its real launch
Endless Legend 2 is moving out of Early Access on September 17, and Amplitude is treating the date like more than a version label. The 1.0 release adds a new playable faction, new rogue faction variants, a fresh minor faction, and console versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Why strategy players should care
The Endless series lives or dies on faction weirdness. Civilization gives you readable historical arcs; Endless Legend gives you factions that play like alien arguments. A new major faction and rogue variants matter because they are not just extra coats of paint. They change how the map breathes.
The console piece is also important. Big 4X games are still mostly treated as PC territory, so launching 1.0 on consoles signals that Amplitude and Hooded Horse want this to be a broader strategy release, not just a polished Early Access exit.
Game Pelt read
If you bounced off Early Access because you wanted the full faction set and cleaner pacing, September 17 is the better checkpoint. Endless Legend 2 now has to prove that its lovely strangeness can hold together across a complete campaign.
