Endless Legend 2 update 46 fixes some older-save loading failures, but it does not recover every campaign. Amplitude's October 16 announcement warns that certain files remain corrupted. Players receiving the specific corruption error pictured in the notice need to start a new game, according to the studio.

The patch is version 1.0.197. It repairs a bug that stopped some saves made in an earlier version from loading or caused a crash. That is useful for an ongoing campaign, but a successful loading fix and recovery of a corrupted file are not the same thing.

The corruption warning applies to specific files

Amplitude says some players cannot continue their previous game because the save has become corrupted. The announcement pairs that warning with an error screenshot and the instruction to begin again. It does not say every older save is lost or that every loading failure has the same cause.

There is no recovery procedure, affected-player count or promised restoration date in the notes. Game Pelt has not independently tested save recovery. Do not read the loading fix as a guarantee that a campaign producing the identified corruption error can now be rescued.

Old-save army actions and multiplayer joining also get fixes

Version 1.0.197 repairs army actions such as burrowing and cutting forest that were not working on older saves. It also fixes pacified minor-faction villages being absent during sieges and battles, and problems joining multiplayer games with custom factions.

A separate text fix adds the missing message shown when a camp is damaged and you try to attach it to a city. These are the other documented repairs, not evidence that every campaign or multiplayer issue is resolved.

Install the current update for the loading cases it repairs, then check your campaign's result. If you receive the specific corruption error, Amplitude's stated next step is a new game.
