How Does Last Epoch’s Death Dance Change Evade?
Death Dance removes Evade’s cooldown and triggers specialized skills. Last Epoch also reveals new minion restrictions and a central endgame menu.
Last Epoch’s Death Dance boots remove Evade’s cooldown and make evading trigger a specialized ability. The September 24 Season 5 Unique reveal explains the important limit: abilities with cooldowns must be on your bar, and the item attempts to use the leftmost specialized ability that is ready, as ordered in the skills panel.
That is not permission to ignore every skill’s cooldown. Death Dance, Gift of the Eidolon and Eternal Font are also described as much rarer than Red Ring, with no numerical drop rates supplied. Treat them as chase items, not assumptions for a starter build.
More skeletons require a narrower minion setup
Unbroken Legion doubles the maximum number of skeletons, gives them a chance to resummon after death, and grants Frenzy and Haste for four seconds after summoning. In exchange, it prevents summoning non-skeleton specializable minions.

Traveler’s Rest gathers the endgame routes
The renamed and expanded Echo of a World becomes Traveler’s Rest, reached through a new town-style waypoint at the End of Time. Its Nexus menu selects timelines, endgame activities and dungeons, and displays factions. The older routes remain usable.
Season 5 is scheduled for October 1, with full patch notes due September 25. Read those notes before committing to a build around the previewed items.
