Xbox Picks Up Kojima Productions' PHYSINT After PlayStation Exit
Kojima Productions says PHYSINT is still moving, and Xbox is now the publishing partner attached to the long-range espionage project.
PHYSINT has a new publishing home
PHYSINT is still alive, but it has moved into a different lane. Xbox and Kojima Productions have confirmed an expanded partnership around the action-espionage project, giving the game a new publishing route after reports that PlayStation stepped away from it.

Why this is bigger than one deal
The interesting part is not just the logo swap. PHYSINT has always been framed as Kojima returning to espionage after years of players asking for something in the Metal Gear neighborhood. Xbox getting attached gives the project oxygen, marketing muscle, and a platform holder that clearly wants more prestige single-player swings.
It also keeps Kojima Productions in a wide orbit. The studio has Death Stranding history with PlayStation, OD with Xbox, and now PHYSINT moving through Xbox publishing. That makes the studio less predictable, which is probably exactly how Kojima likes it.
Do not expect it soon
Nothing about this sounds close. Reports around PHYSINT still point to a long runway, and Kojima Productions has plenty of other work in motion. For players, the smart read is simple: the game has a new backer, but this is not a launch-window announcement.
Game Pelt read
Good news if you care about big weird stealth-adjacent games. Bad news if you wanted a trailer, systems breakdown, or release date. PHYSINT remains mostly a promise, but at least now it is a promise with a public partner again.
