The Division 2's next Halloween tease is tied to Red Moon Rising, with Ubisoft pointing to new nightmare content next week. Before you rearrange your farming plans, there is one catch: as of October 11, the full event reveal, reward list and exact launch date have not been published in the official sources checked for this article.

The October 9 post shows Halloween decorations and asks players to clear inventory space. That gives players something to prepare for. It does not confirm increased drop rates, a new boss rotation or an October 13 start.

Halloween rewards still need the full reveal

The pumpkin-filled artwork makes the seasonal theme clear, but Ubisoft has not detailed the activities, reward requirements, event end date or any associated patch. Last year's Halloween rewards and dates are not a reliable schedule for 2026.

Make space for incoming loot if your inventory is already full. Hold off on spending resources or changing a loadout around an unannounced reward. The full event rules are what will tell you whether a particular farm is worth your time.

Red Moon's existing loot is confirmed; changes are not

Red Moon Rising remains scheduled through November 3. Ubisoft's September update lists dedicated pools containing Exotics, DZ Named items, curated Named items and Prototype gear. Vertigo is the event's Exotic GR9, Sarru is an Exotic backpack, and defeating the Recruiter rewards his unique mask.

Those are existing Red Moon rewards, not a newly revealed Halloween loot table. The October teaser does not announce different drop odds, additional guaranteed rewards or changes to the encounters.

The current Red Moon rules also remain the published reference: stacks accumulate during a run, with both buffs and drawbacks. Death, leaving the PvE Dark Zone or securing contaminated loot resets them. Any Halloween changes to that system still need official confirmation.

October 13 closes two windows, with the next rotation unconfirmed

Countdown Surge runs through October 13 and awards double Countdown Requisition. Legacy Twitch Drops also end October 13. Their shared deadline does not establish when the teased content starts or what multiplier event follows.

Legacy Drops offer up to five caches at 30 minutes, one hour, two hours, three hours and four hours of eligible viewing. Link your Twitch and Ubisoft Connect accounts, check your platform links, then watch drop-enabled partnered Division 2 streams. Claim unlocked rewards through your Twitch Drops inventory.

If you already own every previous drop contained in a Legacy cache, Ubisoft says you receive alternative named items and/or Exotic Components. These are the current campaign's rewards; Halloween Drops have not been announced in the checked sources.

For a broader plan before those deadlines, our October event priority guide covers the active Countdown and Red Moon windows together. Check the stream's Drops status before relying on watch time to count.

What is worth doing before the announcement

Use Countdown's bonus if you need requisition, claim the Drops you have earned, and keep working toward current Red Moon items you actually want. Red Moon has a longer announced window, so you do not need to treat it as another October 13 deadline.

Clear inventory space now. Decide whether to change your farming plan once Ubisoft confirms Halloween's objectives, reward pools and dates, along with any changes to Red Moon and the following event rotation.
