Games Releasing This Week: October 7-11, 2026
The rest of this week leans hard on October 8, with Hellraiser, Silver Pines, Forever Ago, Echo Weaver, Permafrost, PAPERHEAD, and more verified releases to check.
The rest of this week is not empty. It is just lopsided. October 8 carries most of the weight, October 9 has a few useful follow-ups, and the weekend does not currently have a strong verified launch sitting on top of the pile.
If you only have room for a few tabs, start with Hellraiser for the big horror release, Silver Pines for the smaller survival-horror swing, Forever Ago for the story pick, and Permafrost if you want another survival sandbox to judge before it eats your weekend.
Dates below are based on store and platform listings checked on October 7, 2026. Smaller regional store changes can still happen, so do the boring adult thing and check your own platform before you buy.
October 7

Hidden Dogs - Xbox and PC. A small, low-friction hidden-object game with more than 500 dogs and items across hand-drawn levels. This is the decompression pick, not the big weekend timesink.
Release note: hidden-object cozy puzzle. Store date checked as Sep 22, 2025.

Titanic Escape Simulator - Xbox and PC. The hook is blunt: investigate a death aboard the Titanic before the ship itself becomes the bigger problem. Expect puzzle rooms, locked areas, and a disaster clock hanging over the whole thing.
Release note: mystery escape-room adventure. Store date checked as Aug 24, 2026.

Voltaire: The Vegan Vampire - Xbox and PC. A vampire farming roguelite built around survival, crops, and spite. It already exists on PC, but the Xbox drop is the useful note this week.
Release note: action farming roguelite. Store date checked as Oct 26, 2023.
October 8

Echo Weaver - Xbox and PC. This is the thinking-player entry: a time-loop Metroidvania where knowledge is progress. If you like games that make your notes feel like gear, put this near the top.
Release note: time-loop Metroidvania. Store date checked as Oct 8, 2026.

Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival - PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The loudest horror release on the slate. It is a first-person Hellraiser story from Saber, built around the Genesis Configuration, Pinhead, and enough body horror that this is not a background-tab purchase.
Release note: first-person survival horror. Store date checked as Oct 8, 2026.
Official video: official release date trailer.

Neon Abyss 2 - Xbox and PC. Neon Abyss 2 is the run-heavy arcade pick. The pitch is more weapons, more item stacking, and more screen chaos, so this is one for players who want builds to get weird fast.
Release note: run-and-gun roguelike. Store date checked as Jul 17, 2025.

Deck of Haunts - Xbox and PC. Instead of escaping a haunted house, you run one. The pitch is card-driven traps, fear management, and a house that gets nastier as visitors make bad decisions.
Release note: haunted-house card strategy. Store date checked as May 7, 2025.

Forever Ago - PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, PC, and Epic Games Store. This is the emotional lane. Forever Ago is about an old man heading north with a camera, grief, and a dog, which means it can either hit hard or absolutely overplay its hand. Worth watching.
Release note: single-player road trip adventure. Store date checked as Oct 8, 2026.
Official video: official release date trailer.

Gear.Club Unlimited 3 - Xbox and PC. The series moves to Japan and the French Mediterranean with more than 40 licensed cars. If you want clean racing comfort food, this is the one with the least explanation required.
Release note: racing. Store date checked as Oct 8, 2026.

Thunder Hoop Collection - Xbox and PC. Two old-school arcade platformers in one package. This is a preservation-and-curiosity release more than a headline grabber, but retro action fans should at least clock it.
Release note: retro platformer collection. Store date checked as Oct 8, 2026.

Silver Pines - Xbox and PC. A private investigator, a missing musician, and a town that looks like it is trying to forget itself. Silver Pines has the better elevator pitch among this week's smaller horror releases.
Release note: survival-horror Metroidvania. Store date checked as Oct 8, 2026.
Official video: official release date and demo trailer.

Invokyr - PC. Four-player horror built around a cursed board game. The setup is simple, which is good. Co-op horror dies fast when the rules need a manual.
Release note: co-op horror. Store date checked as Oct 8, 2026.

Order of the Sinking Star - PC. This is the quietest PC pick on the list, but Thekla's name makes it worth noting. If the week is too loud, this is the one to inspect slowly.
Release note: puzzle adventure. Store date checked as Oct 8, 2026.
October 9

Permafrost - PC Early Access. A frozen survival sandbox with co-op, scavenging, and base pressure. Early Access survival games are always a risk, but this is the biggest systems-heavy release left in the week.
Release note: open-world survival craft. Store date checked as Oct 9, 2026.

PAPERHEAD - Xbox and PC. Fast movement, paper-cutout style, and horror-shooter pacing. If Hellraiser is too heavy but you still want blood pressure, this is the smaller, meaner option.
Release note: boomer shooter horror. Store date checked as Oct 9, 2026.

HORSE CLUB Ride West - Xbox and PC. A family-friendly Western riding game with quests, exploration, and tournament pressure. Not every weekly list needs to pretend everything is horror or tactics.
Release note: horse-riding adventure. Store date checked as Oct 9, 2026.

Sesame Street: Friends & Fun - Xbox and PC. A kids-first Sesame Street release. The useful note for parents is simple: this is the safe, licensed option, not a stealth hardcore game wearing bright colors.
Release note: family game. Store date checked as Oct 9, 2026.

Truckful - PC. A truck-driving delivery adventure where the cargo, routes, and physics are the point. It is not the biggest release here, but it has a clear hook.
Release note: delivery adventure. Store date checked as Oct 9, 2026.
Weekend check
October 10 and October 11 do not have a strong, store-verified release from the checked sources that belongs in the main list. That does not mean every regional storefront is empty. It means nothing credible beat the weekday slate loudly enough to deserve fake certainty.
What to play first
For pure impact, Hellraiser is the obvious first look. For a smaller horror choice, Silver Pines has the cleaner hook. For a slower single-player night, Forever Ago is the mood shift. For systems players, Permafrost is the risky one: Early Access survival can be great, or it can ask you to debug its snowstorm.
