Upcoming Games This Week: September 15-21, 2026
This week's game releases include Marvel's Wolverine, RuneScape: Dragonwilds, Aniimo, Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, LEGO Batman, and a few indies worth watching.
The quick list
This is the first Game Pelt weekly release calendar. Since we are running it on Tuesday instead of Sunday, this one covers September 15-21, 2026. Future versions will publish on Sundays and cover the week ahead.
The big names are obvious: Marvel's Wolverine on PS5, RuneScape: Dragonwilds hitting consoles and 1.0, Fire Emblem's Switch 2 debut, and LEGO Batman's Switch 2 launch. The PC side is busier than it looks too, with Aniimo, Active Matter, Woodo, and Concrete Burial filling out the indie lane.

September 15
Marvel's Wolverine

Insomniac's Wolverine finally lands on PS5 this week. It is the obvious blockbuster of the slate: linear, violent, and built around Logan rather than another open-world checklist. Store link: PlayStation Store.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds

Dragonwilds leaves Early Access and hits consoles with crossplay. Jagex's official post lists PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S for September 15, while Nintendo's Switch 2 page is also live. Links: official post, Steam, PlayStation, Xbox.
Aniimo

Aniimo is the creature-collecting wildcard of the week. It is free-to-play, has PC and PlayStation store pages, and looks aimed directly at players who want open-world collection with a lighter fantasy tone. Links: Steam, PlayStation Store.
Active Matter

Active Matter is the PC shooter pick: horror, extraction, PvE, and multiverse weirdness. This is one to watch if you want something grimier than the usual release-week action game. Link: Steam.
September 16
Woodo

Woodo is the quieter indie entry, a tactile puzzle game built around small diorama-like scenes. Not everything this week needs claws or survival meters. Link: Steam.
September 17
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave

Nintendo's big Switch 2 release this week is Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. Expect tactical RPG battles, time-bent story hooks, and a lot of people trying to keep their favorite unit out of trouble. Link: Nintendo eShop.
Concrete Burial

Concrete Burial is the oddball PC horror pick. It is not the biggest release on the list, but this is exactly why the weekly calendar exists: small games can get buried fast. Link: Steam.
September 18
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight gets its Switch 2 release this week. If you skipped the earlier PS5/Xbox/PC launch or want the portable version, this is the one to circle. Links: Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store.
Worth noting
Dune: Awakening's PS5 and Xbox launch is just outside this window on September 22, so it will belong in the next weekly list. That is exactly the kind of edge case the Sunday version will catch cleanly.
