WoW Forever Beta 69977: Mac and Controller Fixes Are Ready to Test
WoW Forever beta build 69977 fixes some Mac display and stability issues, controller navigation at character selection, and interaction with quest items.
WoW Forever beta testers can install version 1.60.1 build 69977 for Mac and controller fixes. Blizzard's September 22 client notice says the build is available and asks players to exit the beta, open Battle.net and update before testing.

Character selection and quest items on gamepad
Controller navigation on the character selection screen should work more reliably when you launch with the gamepad already active. That startup condition is part of the fix Blizzard describes.
Gamepad users can also interact with items that give quests. The notice names these two controller changes; it does not claim to resolve every menu or interaction problem.
Mac display and stability fixes have a limited scope
Blizzard says it has repaired some display and stability issues on Macs. It does not identify individual visual symptoms, affected hardware or macOS versions, so the update is not a guarantee that every Mac problem is fixed.
After installing 69977, retry the specific issue that affected your beta session. These are developer-reported fixes; Game Pelt has not tested them.
The build includes other fixes that Blizzard says cannot be tested in-game, without further detail. The next full weekly update is scheduled for September 24. This notice supplies no release hour or complete notes for that update.
