World of Warcraft: Forever's beta is underway, but registering does not guarantee entry. Blizzard's September 17 beta notice keeps testing open through October 21 and identifies two ways to get access:

  • Opt in and wait for Blizzard to select your account.
  • Use the beta access included with the Skyborne Epic Pack or Warcraft Forever Collection.

An eligible account can install World of Warcraft: Forever Beta from the Game Version menu in Battle.net. Check the beta licence on your account if an invitation email is uncertain. The full game is separately scheduled for November 4 in Blizzard's launch announcement.

The initial test stops at level 20

Blizzard's opening content list includes Skyborne, Zephras Isle, Hall of Thanes, Ruins of Lordaeron and zone content through level 20. The cap is due to rise to 30 later.

A public Server Slam is also planned for several hours during testing. The notice gives no date for that window or the cap increase, so neither should be treated as available now.

Check the GPU before paying for access

Blizzard's separate September 17 GPU notice sets a hardware-feature requirement for launch: AMD GCN 1, NVIDIA Maxwell or Intel Skylake graphics architectures, or newer.

The examples need care. A GeForce GTX 750 Ti supports the required feature, while a GTX 780 is listed as unsupported. Even the compatible examples sit below the game's full minimum requirements; meeting this architecture floor does not establish acceptable performance.

Check your exact graphics hardware against the full system requirements before buying an access bundle. If you prefer to wait for public testing, look for a confirmed Server Slam date.
