WoW Forever — Undead Paladins, Dwarf Shamans and Skyborne Class Choices
Blizzard details six race and class combinations, faction-specific Skyborne options and racial traits ahead of the November 4 global launch.
Undead Paladins, Dwarf Shamans and Orc Mages are among the character combinations listed for World of Warcraft: Forever. Blizzard's September 22 race and class breakdown also confirms that Skyborne class access changes with faction: Horde gets Shaman, while Alliance gets Mage.
Six combinations worth checking
Blizzard highlights Orc Mages, Troll Warlocks and Undead Paladins for the Horde, alongside Human Hunters, Gnome Priests and Dwarf Shamans for the Alliance. These are Forever-specific choices; the announcement does not change race restrictions across other versions of WoW.
The game has nine classes overall, but each race has its own list of allowed choices. If a class matters more to you than your character's appearance, check that list before settling on a race.
Skyborne share four classes across factions
Horde-aligned Windshapers can be Druids, Hunters, Rogues, Shamans or Warriors. Alliance-aligned High Order Skyborne can be Druids, Hunters, Mages, Rogues or Warriors. Shaman and Mage are the faction differences, not the only classes Skyborne can play.
Both sides have Walk on Air, a downward glide lasting ten seconds. Their shared passives grant 1% melee, ranged and spellcasting haste, plus 5% additional damage against Elementals.
The other racial ability differs. Windshaper Skysight increases running speed by 10%. High Order Read Ley Line increases Health and Mana regeneration by 100%, although this post does not specify its duration. That is a regeneration bonus, not an instant refill of both bars.
Racial percentages do not settle the best choice
Familiar races also have traits to review. Orc Blood Fury increases Attack Power and Spell Power by 10% for 15 seconds. Gnome Eureka! reduces the cost of the next three spells or abilities and raises their damage or healing by 10%. Blizzard does not quantify that cost reduction here.
The overview gives no complete cooldown table or comparative performance results. It supports choosing an available class combination and comparing utility, but not declaring a strongest race. Game Pelt has not tested these racial abilities.
Blizzard's launch announcement sets Forever's global release for November 4, 2026. For character planning, settle the class you want, check the races and faction that support it, and leave performance rankings until the missing ability details and testing can support them.
