ARC Raiders' Frozen Trail update adds a fifth quality level for 15 weapons on October 8. Unlocking it requires a fully upgraded Research Workstation in the new Outpost, according to Embark's September 23 Frozen Trail preview.
Fifteen weapons get branching upgrades
The new tier can change how a weapon behaves. Embark's examples include a fully automatic Burletta, a scoped Renegade, and a Rattler with incendiary ammunition and a 64-round magazine.
Those examples are preview details, not tested recommendations. The announcement does not provide the full upgrade costs or enough balance numbers to rank the branches. The Outpost itself extends the Raider Den with customizable modules and furniture.
Pendola Pass adds a frozen frontier
The new map includes an old village, an Exodus transport hub and a fallen Emperor. Flash freezes add a weather threat. Players can also board the Frigate, navigate its internal passages and contend with ARC enemies and rival Raiders inside.
The Stiletto light-ammo battle rifle and Bantam heavy-ammo revolver join the arsenal. A grappling hook supports climbing, abseiling and swinging, while the Tether Launcher can connect two points, including a Raider and an ARC machine. The Yank Grenade pulls a nearby target when it detonates.
Existing Raider Deck progress carries over
The free Legacy Pass combines the existing Raider Decks and preserves their progress. Frozen Trail also introduces a Free Pass with five outfits, 200 Raider Tokens, gameplay items and 20 cosmetic items.
The Premium Pass adds cosmetic options and 1,150 Raider Tokens. Its purchase price is not listed in this preview. Embark also announces a skill-tree rework without publishing the complete revised values here.
A developer Q&A is scheduled for September 25 at 6 p.m. CEST. October 8 is the confirmed update date, but an exact launch hour is still missing. Existing deck progress is protected under the announced plan; wait for the full upgrade requirements and paid-track price before committing to a build or purchase.
