MW4 Supports DLSS 4.5, but RTX Features Depend on Your GPU
NVIDIA details MW4's RTX 40 and RTX 50 frame-generation options. Check the feature split before treating the 6X figure as a hardware buying argument.
MW4's announced DLSS 4.5 options depend on your GPU. NVIDIA lists Frame Generation for RTX 40 systems and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation for RTX 50 systems, with up to 6X multiplication on the latter. That is a feature breakdown, not proof of how well the game will run on your PC.
NVIDIA published the details on October 6, ahead of campaign early access. Call of Duty had already named DLSS 4.5 in its September 29 PC announcement, so the useful update is the hardware-specific explanation rather than a newly revealed graphics feature.
Match the announced features to your RTX card
NVIDIA says DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution will be available across MW4's modes. Its announcement separates the frame-generation options: RTX 40 systems get Frame Generation; RTX 50 systems can activate Dynamic Multi Frame Generation with up to 6X multiplication. NVIDIA also lists Reflex for GeForce RTX systems and describes optional ray-traced reflections.

Read the multiplier carefully. It describes a frame-generation option, not a measured increase in native rendering performance or a promise about input latency. Game Pelt has not benchmarked MW4, and this announcement is not a substitute for tests on the hardware and modes you plan to use.
The sensible buying advice is to wait for those measurements before upgrading specifically for this game. Feature compatibility helps you choose settings; it does not establish whether your current card needs replacing.
Campaign early access does not include the full launch
Campaign early access remains scheduled for October 16 for eligible digital preorder customers. Multiplayer and DMZ follow with the full October 23 launch. These are existing access dates, not a new delay or an earlier release announced by NVIDIA. Official platform availability and timing caveats still apply.
Use the lead-up to check the requirements that could stop the game launching in the first place. Call of Duty's PC specifications require TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. A supported graphics card does not replace those checks.

Check your GPU generation, confirm PC and preorder eligibility, and assess actual performance when testing becomes available. The feature list gives RTX owners useful preparation information. It does not justify buying a new card from the 6X figure alone.
