Control Resonant’s launch hotfix reduces how much punishment most enemies take and makes changing your build cheaper. Remedy’s September 24 launch hotfix announcement identifies version 1.3.3; its official PC support thread lists that as the current build.

Lower health and easier executions

Most enemies, plus the Dancer and Deserter bosses, receive lower base health and Falter thresholds. That means fewer hits should be needed to stun them for an execution.

Maximum Aberrant Strength and Ability Strength also increase. Remedy says the increases grow along an upgrade curve, so more developed builds gain more damage. It does not publish percentages for these adjustments.

Resetting a build costs less

Respec costs are permanently reduced, and vendors stock more Reset Items. The first Resonant boss, the Artist, now drops two of those items instead of one. English interface descriptions for Aberrant Strength and Build Power are being clarified, with other languages to follow.

Some PC problems still need another update

The official PC known-issues thread lists performance problems on AMD Radeon 7000 and 9000 series cards. Remedy says AMD is preparing an optional driver download, without a firm release time.

Changing ray-tracing quality can also cause a large frame-rate drop; Remedy’s listed workaround is to restart the game, which preserves the changed settings. Check that you have 1.3.3 for the combat changes, and use the support thread for unresolved problems rather than expecting the hotfix to repair everything.
