Diablo IV Hotfix 4 Repairs Tristram Portals and Missing Rewards
Blizzard fixes Wirt’s Lucky Coins being consumed without a portal, missing materials and Sparks, and Switch 2 skills. The Council’s loot cooldown also grows.
Wirt's Lucky Coins should no longer disappear into the Tristram fountain without opening a portal. Blizzard's September 22 Hotfix 4 notes list that repair for Diablo IV 3.2.1, alongside fixes for missing rewards and inaccessible Switch 2 skills.
The reward fixes cover Horadric Cube crafting materials missing from their associated Kurast Undercity Tributes, plus a Seasonal Reputation Resplendent Cache that failed to give a Resplendent Spark. These are specific repairs to reward sources, not a promise that every loot problem is resolved.
Tristram access also comes with a farming restriction. Blizzard has increased the Prime Evil Council's loot cooldown to address excessive experience and rewards from the fight. It does not give the new duration. A working portal does not mean the next Council kill is eligible for loot, and the notes cannot support a one-hour or fifteen-minute farming schedule.

Switch 2 skills return; Warlock names need clarification
On Switch 2, Hotfix 4 fixes players being unable to use variant skills added with Lord of Hatred. Blizzard also repairs several cases of Class quests failing to complete, but does not identify the individual quest steps. If either blocked your character, retry that specific action.
The Warlock change fixes unintended damage from Fiend of Abbadon's Lesser Demon Bonus upgrade and re-enables it. There is a naming mismatch to keep in mind: Blizzard's September 18 PSA called the disabled upgrade Dominance. That older notice remains unchanged, and Hotfix 4 does not explicitly connect the two names. It is too early to treat the new wording as a clear confirmation that Dominance itself has returned.
The notes also correct unintended damage from combining the Old Mountain Talisman's five-set bonus with Grief, and fix unlimited Butcher spawning. No replacement damage values are supplied.
Blizzard posted the same fixes in its PC and console forums without separate platform rollout times. The announcement does not promise replacement coins or retroactive rewards from the repaired sources. Check future payouts when testing the fix; an item lost before this hotfix is a separate unresolved question.
