Diablo IV is now available on Nintendo Switch 2. The $69.99 Age of Hatred Collection includes the base game, Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred.

The bundle is complete, but the price is high for a game originally released in 2023 and regularly discounted on other platforms. Switch 2 owners are paying full price for the current version rather than receiving a reduced-price late port.

What comes in the Switch 2 version

Nintendo says the collection includes all eight classes, including Spiritborn, Paladin and Warlock. New players therefore receive the complete current game in one purchase instead of buying the expansions separately.

The Switch 2 release also arrives during the Season of Hell's Legacy. New players can access the campaign, both expansion areas and the current seasonal content immediately.

Bundling both expansions makes sense

Selling the complete package is the clearest option. Diablo IV now includes important systems, areas and classes added after its original release, so a base-game-only version would leave Switch 2 players with an incomplete experience.

This is the current version of Diablo IV rather than the original launch package. That is the correct approach for a new platform release.

Is it worth $69.99?

The included expansions help justify the $69.99 price for new players. The value is weaker for anyone who already owns Diablo IV elsewhere and only wants a portable version. Nintendo has not announced a discounted upgrade path for existing owners.

For new players who want Diablo IV and both expansions, this is the simplest version to buy. Existing players should wait for a sale unless portable play is a priority. The Switch 2 release adds a useful new platform option, but $69.99 is expensive for a game first released in 2023.
