Enshrouded adds nine spells when version 1.0 arrives on October 15. Keen Games' September 23 combat preview expands mage options with mana recovery, crowd control and summoned allies, and warns that the updated skill tree will reset allocated points.

The nine new spells

  • Mana Drain and Entangle add mana recovery and enemy control.
  • Pillar of Flames, Blizzard and Ball Lightning add damage options, with the latter two designed for groups.
  • Summon Fire Totem, Summon Ice Totem, Summon Shock Totem and Summon Hollow Skeleton provide summoned support.

New talents increase the number of skeletons and totems you can summon. Keen also lists 22 tier-seven Eternal spell versions. Eternal spells consume no spell ammo, and they can now be upgraded for perks such as reduced mana cost.

Wands can pierce and set up staff attacks

Heavy wand attacks will pierce targets and interrupt weaker enemies. Aerial Wand Attack adds an airborne area attack, while Wand Evasion Attack uses wider, piercing projectiles.

Blast and Cast rewards switching weapons: after a wand critical hit, the next staff attack within ten seconds receives 50% more base damage. These are planned 1.0 mechanics, not changes already available in the current build.

When 1.0 arrives, inspect the reset skill tree and spend your points before leaving your base. The preview also shows unfinished numerical values for some archer talents, so it does not support a complete final balance comparison yet.
