Enshrouded 1.0 is now Steam Deck Verified. Keen Games announced the rating on October 23, giving handheld players an official compatibility check to go on after the game's full release on October 15.

That is more useful than knowing the game can launch on a Deck. Valve's Verified checks cover controller input, readable text, suitable default display settings and compatibility with the system's software. The rating is intended for a game that works without the extra setup associated with the lower Playable category.

For Enshrouded specifically, Valve's current compatibility report lists functional default controls, matching controller icons, legible interface text and a performant default configuration. Its additional note flags a limitation with external controllers for the primary player, so check the store's current compatibility details if a docked controller setup is how you plan to play.

What the badge does not tell you

Keen's announcement does not include frame-rate measurements, a graphics preset breakdown or battery-life figures. Verified is a compatibility rating, not a published benchmark showing how every large base or busy encounter runs. We have not independently benchmarked the game on Steam Deck.

If you already own Enshrouded and were waiting for official Deck support, the new rating is a reason to try it on the handheld. If a particular frame rate is essential to your purchase, look for current Deck performance testing rather than treating the badge as a guarantee.

Keen also said more fixes and improvements would follow the announcement the next week, without detailing them in that post.
