Yes. GTA 6 will let Jason and Lucia listen to radio stations and podcasts while walking around Leonida, not just while sitting in a vehicle. Rockstar confirmed the feature in its October 8 announcement, alongside previews of six stations.

The practical change is simple: getting out of a car no longer means leaving its radio behind. Headphones and earbuds connected to each character's smartphone will support listening on foot. Rockstar also confirmed on-demand podcasts, giving players another audio option beyond the game's broadcast stations.

Radio follows you out of the vehicle

Rockstar says both radio and podcasts will be available in vehicles and on foot. The announcement does not explain the controls or show how players browse podcast episodes, so this is a confirmed feature rather than a hands-on guide to using it.

For players who enjoy GTA's music and talk programming, the benefit is being able to keep listening while exploring without needing to stay behind the wheel. How that audio behaves during missions or conversations remains unspecified in this announcement.

Six stations have previews now

The revealed selection covers several different styles. Cocoteo FM focuses on modern Latin music with El Martillo and La Gata. Back Country Radio pairs country music with hosts MW and Delta Dawne, while AfroBank FM features African music, including amapiano and 3-step, curated by Burna and Palmsy.

The Chamber 106.6 brings metal with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom. Flash FM returns with pop music hosted by Robyn and Alex. Dirty South Classics features regional rap and hip-hop with Trick and Trina.

Previews of all six are available on Rockstar's GTA VI music page. These are six stations Rockstar has chosen to reveal, not an announcement that the entire game contains only six stations.

The full audio lineup is still to come

Rockstar has not supplied a complete station list, full licensed tracklists or podcast titles in this announcement. It also says more information about GTA VI's dynamic score will follow.

The news here is the listening feature and station previews, separate from the previously announced GTA VI album. Sample the stations now; wait for the remaining lineup and interface details before treating this as the full soundtrack reveal.
