Halloween: The Game patch 1.0.4 removes the Quality/Performance toggle on Xbox Series S. Its replacement is a single graphics profile capped at 30 FPS, with improved textures and hair physics enabled during gameplay.

IllFonic's September 26 patch notes describe the change as a stability measure. Xbox Series X gets separate Performance Mode adjustments. The Series S cap does not establish a new frame rate limit for Series X.

Two fixes for escaping Michael

The previous patch accidentally made Bloodthirst Level 3 grabs harder to escape than intended. It could also inflict fall damage on civilians who successfully broke free over uneven terrain. Version 1.0.4 fixes both regressions.

10,000 Perk Points for current players

IllFonic says it is granting every current player 10,000 Perk Points for the grab problems and lingering performance issues. The announcement gives no exact delivery time or claim deadline.

The patch also addresses the slowdown when Loomis enters a match, which could crash less powerful platforms. Further fixes cover crashes when finishing Story Missions or loading matches across platforms.

Check that 1.0.4 is installed before retrying an affected scene. These are the developer's reported fixes; Game Pelt has not benchmarked this build, and IllFonic says more crash work remains.
