Monster Hunter Wilds Comes To Switch 2 On December 4
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on Switch 2 on December 4 with cross-platform play, local wireless hunts and every free title update released so far.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4. The port supports cross-platform multiplayer, local wireless hunts and includes every free title update released before launch.
Switch 2 players are joining the existing population
Cross-play is the key detail. Switch 2 owners will not be isolated in a new matchmaking pool, and groups can hunt across Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Nintendo also lists local wireless support for up to four players.

The current updates are included
Capcom says the Switch 2 version contains all free title updates released so far. That avoids a launch version arriving months behind the other platforms, although the studio has not detailed every graphics and performance setting yet.
Storage and release details
Nintendo lists an estimated 39.1 GB file size, TV, tabletop and handheld play, HDR output and a December 4 release. Pre-orders begin October 19.
Ascendance follows in 2027
The large Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance expansion is also coming to Switch 2 in 2027. Capcom has not announced its exact date or Switch 2 performance targets.
