Mycopunk 1.0 is out on PC, with the Mycologist to rescue and new equipment to unlock. Pigeons at Play confirmed the full release on October 20. The launch notes now give the requirements for those additions, alongside achievement problems worth checking before repeating an objective.

Rescue the Mycologist in Expedition Alpha

The new employee joins after you rescue her in Expedition Alpha. Her abilities are Sporelift and Fungal Skewer, supported by passive infection. The launch announcement names the rescue mission, but it is not a step-by-step route through it.

Population Control is another new normal mission, featuring high concentrations of enemies and Abominations. There is also a change that affects every extraction: if nobody gets into the Drop Pod, the mission fails.

Level 10 opens the Diffraction Driver unlock

Reach level 10, then use resources to unlock the Diffraction Driver. This ion scattergun fires in a short cone. Spinning up its halo makes the cone narrower and longer, giving the weapon a different firing shape rather than simply a permanent range increase. The announcement does not list the resource cost.

Snowball, the cryo grenade, unlocks from X11-B. Our earlier moon and weapon-upgrade preview covers the destination and the equipment changes discussed before launch. Those details were previews at the time; the October 20 announcement confirms that the PC release has shipped.

Some achievement counters are not working correctly

Fulfillments are the new in-game achievement tracker. Some credit earlier progress retroactively, while others do not, depending on what the game was already tracking. Do not assume every previous objective will immediately count.

The developer lists relay-tower activation and Saxitos-bag rescues as Fulfillments that currently do not progress. The Cranius achievement does not unlock, either. Bunker Buster has a different error: it requires 15 opened bunkers when the intended requirement is one.

Those are acknowledged launch issues, not extra tasks players are supposed to discover. The release notice gives no correction date. Check subsequent notes before repeating those objectives specifically for their achievement credit.

Get the PC version through the Steam store and read the full launch notes for the remaining changes. If you are returning for the new employee or weapon, use the rescue and level requirements above. If you are returning to finish achievements, check the known-issue list first.
