No Man's Sky Anniversary Expedition Brings Back Its Original Starter Ship
Our Journey Continues runs for about six weeks and turns pre-release art, old assets and ten years of updates into account-wide rewards.
No Man's Sky's Our Journey Continues expedition is worth starting for the ships. The approximately six-week anniversary event restores designs from the game's pre-release history and makes the rewards available across a player's saves.
The two ships are the main reward

Completing the expedition can unlock a golden Rasamama S36 based on the launch-era starter ship and a vintage Sentinel Interceptor reconstructed from pre-release models. The reward pool also includes the Starbound v0.27 Multi-Tool, a restored diplodocus companion, nine framed artworks and a cockpit bobblehead based on an old test asset.
New players can start from a separate save
The expedition can begin at the Expedition Terminus in the Space Anomaly or from a fresh save. A fresh expedition save can later convert to Normal Mode, while earned rewards can be claimed on other saves through the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion.

Hello Games says the route includes developer commentary, old mechanics and hidden references to previous versions. Players interested only in the rewards should not wait until the final week; expedition phases regularly require travel and milestone chains that take longer than their individual objectives suggest.
