Professional Ship Simulator's Patch 1 is now on Steam's default branch, fixing nautical charts that failed to load when Windows user paths contained special characters. Aerosoft confirmed general availability in its September 20 release notice, following the September 18 public beta.

The update also fixes the Rescue Cruiser's daughter-boat launch and adds the Rescue Boat to Open World vessel selection.

The full Patch 1 notes introduce RoPax Arrival at Dover, a scenario featuring a ferry approaching in heavy weather. Selected AIS targets now appear yellow, and their size adjusts to the chosen range.

Stability work addresses potential causes of rare crashes involving debug logs and HTTP requests. Career tooltips and License Check guidance also receive improvements.

Ship Handling tutorials can still stop progressing, particularly when an action is performed before its matching step becomes active. That issue remains under investigation.

Use Steam's default branch for the update. If a tutorial stalls, press Ctrl + Tab immediately afterward and send a bug report; it now includes the mission and Career Training state to help investigate the failure.
