What Changes in SPRAWL zero’s First Major Update?
Rushdown now works while stationary, rockets strip shields and the final boss gains checkpoints. All Golden Relics can run together.
SPRAWL zero’s first major update lets you activate Rushdown while standing still and throw its punch without a lunge target. Adrenaline no longer drains before the ability reaches full charge.
MAETH’s Major Update 01 notes explain why that matters: Rushdown already strips shields, but unreliable activation had discouraged players from using it. The patch clarifies that existing shield mechanic through the tutorial and an Eden reminder, while reducing shielded-enemy density in later encounters.
Weapons also change:
- Rocket Launcher damage rises from 400 to 1,000, and rockets now remove enemy shields.
- Thrown weapons deal damage according to their rarity tier.
- Vox Dei’s ammunition capacity increases to 200.

The final boss gets more checkpoints
New checkpoints cover the opening dialogue and the approach to the Condemned stage in each phase. The boss’s laser animation is 20% slower, and its explosive damage is reduced by 25%. Manus Dei can now catch and return the rocks it throws.
All Golden Relics can be active simultaneously, giving completed New Game+ challenges more combinations to play with. The pause menu also gains a collectible tracker.
Steam players should check the new “Optimize for Steam Deck” preset and reduced-screen-effects option after updating. The developer lists performance work, but Game Pelt has not benchmarked this build.
