SPRAWL zero’s Major Update Reworks Rushdown and Ships 183 Fixes
SPRAWL zero’s first major update reworks Rushdown, smooths late-game balance, adds a Steam Deck preset, and ships 183 fixes and improvements.
SPRAWL zero’s first major update is a real systems pass rather than a cosmetic patch. The four-person team says Major Update 01 contains 183 updates, with the biggest changes aimed at Rushdown, late-game balance, performance, and the final boss.
Rushdown finally gets control
Rushdown previously required movement and a valid lunge target, which made the shield-stripping ability feel unreliable in the second half. The update lets players activate it manually, even without a target, and removes the adrenaline drain until the ability is fully charged.
The tutorial now explains that Rushdown disables shields, too.
The late game is being pulled back
The update reduces the density of shielded enemies from Eden onward and buffs late-game weapons. Vox Dei now carries 200 rounds, while Rocket Launcher damage rises from 400 to 1,000 and gains shield-stripping capability.
Thrown weapons now scale damage by rarity tier, and Junta Helicopters have clearer lock-on indicators and incoming missile audio.
Performance and final-boss changes
MAETH says particle effects, sky materials, breakable objects, and heavy sequence lighting have been optimized. A new Optimize for Steam Deck preset aims for a locked 60 FPS when the hardware meets the game’s requirements.
The final boss now telegraphs attacks more clearly. Its laser animation is 20% slower, explosive damage is reduced by 25%, and the attack sequence gives players more time to react. Players can also stack all Golden Relics at once.
Steam currently lists SPRAWL zero as Overwhelmingly Positive at 95% positive from 1,069 user reviews. That is current context, not a verified record.
