The Division 2's Red Moon Rising event runs from September 24 through November 3. Ubisoft's TUY8S3.1 announcement describes a PvE Dark Zone occupied by Black Tusk, with moon stacks that add both benefits and drawbacks.

Those stacks reset when you die, leave or secure contaminated loot. Entering a safehouse pauses them. Carrying on with accumulated bonuses therefore also means keeping their penalties until a reset.

Vertigo rewards suppression

The event introduces Vertigo, a GR9 whose suppression applies Disorient. Its talent also grants the user and allies 30% extra damage against targets out of cover for 15 seconds. The Sarru backpack is another new reward, cycling through moon phases with changing amplification.

Retaliation returns for one week

Retaliation reopens September 24 with hourly stage unlocks instead of daily ones. Previous participants can earn materials again, but the final Outfit Token is awarded only once.

If that token is still unfinished business, prioritize Retaliation's shorter window. Ubisoft supplies event dates in this overview but no exact opening hours.
